Spring Equinox.

Spring Equinox, a time for growth and rebirth.

'The birth of spring sunshine brings regeneration with the return of sunlight to nature’.

Spring equinox has long been celebrated as a time for rebirth. The sun shines directly on the equator, and day and night are almost the same length across the world. The birth of the spring sunshine brings regeneration with the return of sunlight to nature.

As the beginning of spring, the equinox brings a desire for new beginnings and rituals to welcome change, growth, revitalisation and a fresh start for yourself. A new lease of life comes with the equinox, after winter is the ideal time to renew. Make the most of the seasonal transformations by implementing change and focusing on yourself...

Declutter. Clutter is stagnant energy. For your energy to flow, clutter must be cleared. Surround yourself with objects that make you feel vibrant and alive. Release objects that make you feel tired, lethargic, or depressed. The term 'spring cleaning' sums up the need to refresh, so take the same approach to all aspects of your life. Either by having that declutter at home or trying a new technique to help declutter the mind.

For some decluttering inspiration, we recommend this book 'The Life Changing Magic Of Tidying up'  by Marie Kondo.

Bring Spring indoors. Pick or buy a bouquet of Spring flowers to brighten up the home. Daffodils, Sweet Peas, Peonies, Pink Roses and Tulips are just a few of the beautiful flowers readily available at this time of year. Essential oils can also give the home a refresh. Revive and renew with a diffuse bringing fresh citrus scents in.

Unblock your energy centres (chakras). Built-up stress, anxiety and repressed emotions can very quickly fill out inner space and chakras. Feeling fatigued, sick and irritable are a sign we may need emotional spring cleaning. To clear your energy centres, a treatment such as Gaia's Crystal Therapy can give a gentle yet powerful ‘reboot’. The treatment is personalised using crystals to discover which chakras are blocked and includes guided meditation, full body massage, a facial using rose quartz crystals and a nurturing scalp massage.

Plan ahead. Look at change you’d like to make and set yourself some small, achievable goals for the season ahead. Keep a diary and note your aims and when you have achieved them.According to numerous studies, those who wrote down their goals accomplished significantly more than those who did not write down their goals.

We recommend 'Five Minutes in the Morning: A Focus Journal' by Aster

Celebrate nature. Spring is the most awe-inspiring time for nature as it sees the bloom and blossom of new flora, new smells and new colours. Embrace the change in the environment and go outdoors and appreciate the simplicity and beauty all around.
